Nimit House 2 Info and Reservation

"Nimit House 2" is a newly renovated townhouse in a quiet village just north of Chiang Mai's historic old town. The house is close to many restaurants, markets, tourist attractions and transport facilities.

The location is ideal for families with children, as the village is very safe and quiet with no through-traffic. The neighborhood is about 50% Thai and 50% foreigners, mostly Westerners from Europe, the United States of America, and Australia.

Nimit House has a living area of about 170 square meters over two storeys.

All furniture and fittings are of high quality. The furniture is without exception made of local solid teak, hand-crafted to our specifications and child-friendly with a minimum of sharp edges.

All bed linen is luxury quality cotton and all mattresses are international brand names (Sealy), orthopedic and of the highest quality.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one large and one small. The larger (35 square meters) bedroom has a King-size bed and two full-size beds (3.5 feet wide), ideal for two adults and two children. This room has private bathroom with shower and a writing desk. The other upstairs bedroom has a King-size canopy bed, also with a high-quality mattress and luxury bed linen. The room has a balcony with a small sitting area. Both upstairs bedrooms have quiet adjustable high-end air-conditioners as well as standing fans. The floors are newly polished and painted teak parquet.

The upstairs bathroom is of modern design and has a rain shower.

Downstairs the floors are marble which makes the house cool and pleasant to walk barefoot. The downstairs area is separated into 3 parts:

Towards the front of the house (entrance area) is a large living room furnished with traditional Thai teak furniture and works of art.

The living room has a teak canopy sofa that can be used as a bed. The living room also features a 43 inch Ultra HD (4K) television with Internet connection (Smart TV) for online video, Netflix and surfing the web.

Towards the back of the house on the ground floor is a large fusion eating area with our custom-made "Modern Lanna" solid teak dining table. Guests can also enjoy our cozy sofa-bed/recliner area for relaxing moments after a long day of sightseeing.

At the back of the house is a well-designed Lanna-European-style kitchen which is fully equipped with internatinal quality brand name appliances ie. microwave (Samsung), stove (Zanussi), oven (Teka, Germany), boiling kettle (Tefal, Germany), toaster(Tefal, Germany), rice cooker, iron (Philips), washing machine (LG), dishwasher (Electrolux) as well as quality kitchen wares.

Downstairs is a small bathroom and a storage room.

In front of the house is a small veranda, an area to socialize and relax among green surroundings.The small garden has a fish pond with an artificial waterfall and many tasteful plant arrangements. In this area smoking is allowed.

The location of the house could hardly be more convenient as it matches quiet and safety with access to tourist attractions and transportation to destinations further afield:

The Chang Pueak Night Food Market is just a short walk from the house. It's open until midnight and is home to (among others) the Khao Kha Moo Chang Pueak, the famous "Cowgirl's Leg of Pork". There's also a famous "all night" (until 4:00 a.m.) Korean-style barbecue that is very popular among the people of Chiang Mai. All-you-can eat here is currently 189 Baht (about 5.50 US$).
